Chester Valley Trail
Since the May 2014 opening of the Chester Valley Trail (CVT) in Tredyffrin Township, residents have flocked to it in large numbers and in all kinds of weather. Cyclists, runners, and walkers of all ages have found a new love in over six miles of trail through the heart of the Township, with nearly 14 miles available along its total length.  Designed for bicycle commuters, as well as recreational use, employers throughout the Route 202 corridor are seeing high interest from employees who choose to leave their cars at home, now that the trail passes by so many office complexes.

The primary trailhead in our community is at the Westlakes Corporate Center, where Keystone Property Group provides 50 parking spaces for public use.

History of Tredyffrin Township
Few Townships in Pennsylvania are as rich in history as Tredyffrin, which is located in the easternmost edge of Chester County.  In the center of the Township lies the fertile Great Valley, beginning at Valley Forge and running West towards Coatesville.

The Township had its beginning in 1682 when a group of Welsh Quakers went to William Penn in England and purchased forty thousand acres of land.  Ten or Tre is the Welsh word for town or township, and Dyffrin means wide, cultivated valley.
